Perfect City for Digital Nomads and Social Media Lovers

One of the first things I did upon returning to Seoul? Finding a cozy cafe to sit down and write. I’m at my happiest when I’m typing away in a lively cafe. And even happier when I’m surrounded by delicious treats.

It might sound surprising, especially since I’m only here for the Chuseok Holiday. However, there is something uniquely charming and irresistible about Seoul’s vibrant cafe culture. The city boasts an impressive array of cafes. Each offers its own unique theme and aesthetic. Many of these cafes are cute and perfectly designed for snapping that Instagram-worthy shot.

Instagrammable Moments

Even locals love to visit these cute themed cafes. It’s easy to understand why so many spots are going viral online. But whether you’re a Social Media enthusiast, a remote worker, or a city explorer, Seoul’s cafe scene has something special to offer everyone.

If you’re looking for that perfect Instagram moment, no need to wake up early. Most of these specialty cafes open later in the day, around noon. Despite their trendy aesthetics, they’re reasonably priced and, with the right timing, not too crowded either. Tourist, City Newcomer, or Workaholic, there is a perfect spot!

Digital Nomads

Whether you’re looking to write, work, study, or read, Seoul’s cafes have you covered. Some even offer desk-like tables in quiet areas. And they’re equipped with plenty of power outlets. No excuse for those who need to focus. Others feature large communal tables, ideal for group work. Whatever your needs, there’s a perfect cafe match waiting for you.

Ordering in a foreign language can be stressful. Many cafes in Seoul offer self-service systems in English. This makes ordering easy and convenient for visitors.

Another charming aspect of Korean cafe culture is the sense of security. In many places, you’d worry about leaving your belongings unattended for even a moment. But here in Seoul, you can relax. If you need a bathroom break, just go! Your laptop, phone, and half-drunk coffee will still be there when you return.

Some cafes even feature quiet zones with plenty of power outlets. Many have generous hours (some are open 24/7). For a deeper experience, join Seoulshare’s regular remote working event. The Digital Nomads meetup is perfect for those looking to connect with like-minded individuals. You’ll get to experience Seoul’s cafe culture while working remotely.
